The triennial Colloquium Neerlandicum organized by International Association for Dutch Studies (IVN) is the opportunity for researchers to exchange results, ideas, experiences and best practices. During the last colloquium, that took place between 22 and 26 August 2022 in Nijmegen (The Netherlands) the DLIT team members presented the overall results of the project and several case studies. The coordinators of the project, Małgorzata Dowlaszewicz and Herbert van Uffelen, offered a short account of the development in the Digital Library and Bibliography for Literature in Translation and Adaptation and also spoke of the Seminar "Dutch literature in a transnational context". The Seminar was a series of 12 online workshops consisting of an asynchronous part in which students read texts and prepared assignments, and a synchronous lecture with discussion that focused on particular aspects of the topic and the results of the participants' assignments. The seminar took place between 8 October 2021 and 7 January 2022. A total of 171 students from 13 different countries took part. Finally the coordinators presented the project's website and showcased some thematic clusters.
This introduction was followed by 5 case studies which connected three aspects of the project – the educational part, the database and the research that was the starting point for creating themed clusters on the website. Alexa Stoicescu talked about the transnational reception of De avond is ongemak by Marieke Lucas Rijneveld and especially the possibilities the international seminar gave to expansion of the analysis. Annika Johansson & Sara Van Meerbergen reviewed the position of different cultural mediators and networks in the transnational transfer. Bojana Budimir presented the case of the reception of Hugo Claus in Serbia with the special focus on the importance of promotional activities (see also the corresponding cluster). Wilken Engelbrecht reflected on literary criticism in the DLIT project and Małgorzata Dowlaszewicz analyzed historical Dutch literature in a transnational context based on the data of DLBT. The presentations were followed by inspiring discussions and developed in plans for the future.
